Congratulations!
You’re engaged. You’re excited. You’re planning a wedding!
But before the big day arrives, there’s something even more important to prepare for: Your marriage.
The strongest marriages begin with intentional preparation. Start Strong. Stay Strong.
Premarital counseling isn’t about checking a box. It’s about building clarity, confidence, and unity…
before you say “I do.”
What This Process Looks Like
I’ve guided dozens of engaged couples through a personalized five-session journey designed to help them:
• Strengthen communication
• Identify conflict patterns before they escalate
• Align expectations around money, intimacy, family, and faith
• Address personality differences constructively
• Build a shared vision for your future
And this isn’t generic advice.
It’s a roadmap.
Using the proven Prepare/Enrich assessment, we create a customized growth plan based on your unique relationship dynamics.
Along the way:
You’ll discover what’s strong.
You’ll uncover what needs attention.
You’ll gain practical tools to build a marriage that lasts.
Who This Is For
This process is ideal for couples who:
- Take marriage seriously
- Want more than surface-level preparation
- Value faith-based guidanc
- Desire honest and structured conversations before the wedding
If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.
The Sessions
Session 1 📊 Assessment overview
What does the Bible say about marriage and intimacy?
Session 2 💬 Communication and Conflict Resolution
Session 3 👪 Family of Origin
Deeper conversation around family of origin, partner styles and expectations.
Session 4 🧭 Growth Plan
Action planning and strengthening areas of growth.
Session 5 💍 Ceremony / Integration
Ceremony planning (for couples I officiate) or final integration session.
Sessions typically begin 3–6 months before the wedding and are scheduled monthly or every two weeks.
Occasionally a more accelerated rhythm is needed depending on the timeline.
For couples with a shorter timeline or a preference for a more immersive experience, this same journey can also be completed through a Weekend Intensive.
Some couples have shorter timelines before their wedding or prefer a more immersive experience.
In those situations, the full premarital journey can be experienced through a Weekend Intensive.
It’s the same intentional process — simply experienced in a different rhythm.
Before You Begin
Every couple I work with follows a simple and intentional process designed to prepare you not just for the wedding day, but for a marriage designed to last a lifetime.
Before we start, it’s helpful to understand what this journey looks like—and what it requires.
