As the Pastoral Care pastor in a large church, I meet new couples often.
One of the things I enjoy most is watching a relationship grow — getting to know a couple over time and seeing their connection deepen.
When that relationship begins to gain momentum, I’ll often say something like:

That’s exactly what the Discovery Call is.
An honest, intentional conversation about your future.
What This Call Is For
The Discovery Call is a short, 15–20 minute Zoom or FaceTime conversation where we:
✔ Get to know you as a couple
✔ Hear where you are and where you’re headed
✔ Explore what matters most in your relationship
✔ Clarify how premarital coaching could support you
✔ Make sure we’re a good fit to walk this journey together
No pressure. No script.
Just a real, relational conversation.

During this conversation, we begin to explore:
• Your hopes for marriage
• Communication patterns before conflict becomes entrenched
• Expectations around intimacy, family, faith, and life rhythms
• Your partnership style and how you function together
• How you want to build a life — not just plan a wedding
These are the same areas we explore more deeply throughout the premarital journey.
